I was wondering how much do you think this pc is worth

description is flawed - amd or p4?
i wouldn't pay more than $50, tops
it's a pretty low-end system
and it's more than 3 years old
probably closer to 5

Where? And it also really depends on who is buying it. Don't think of worth but of how much you can get for it.

now i am looking to buy another pc just to mess around with it, use it to learn some new programming languages, figure out what makes it tick,etc. now i saw this pc on the internet on a local radio trading post and they were trying to sell it for 500 dollars, i asked them about it and they said the company they bought it from said that it was worth between 500 and 800 bucks. i personally don't think its worth anywhere close to that, but i just asked here for a second opinion. p.s. if anyone knows where i can buy cheap pc's on the internet below 200 bucks in canada that would be great.

512mb - 20
dvd - 10
monitor - free, i can't get rid of the damn things
mouse, floppy, speakers, pos printer - pfft, cmon......... ok $2
60gb - 10
vid - 5
os - free again, i can't get rid of my copies of xp
call it $65 tops, and that's if it's in decent cosmetic condition
take off another %15 just because, and then don't offer more than $50

I think -ct- is low balling, but in Canadian dollars, with a 15" LCD monitor, no more than $100 CAD.

yeah i wouldn't give it 100 canadian though even. Because in 3 years time a pc can take a lot of beatings, my 2200 pc in 3 years went from super to its my parents problem now.

I'm not sure the name of the law but i believe it goes something like this: "No matter how much you pay for an item, someone, somewhere will pay more"
