Are you using the now infamous Google Toolbar? That thing is said to be a handsome privacy concern...

If it has to do with IE, I'd recommend purging everything, just for good measure (cookies, cache, history). However, I'd bet that the Google toolbar has its own cache to be cleared out, and perhaps there's a context sensitive menu to clear this out. OTOH, I thought about it some more, and realized that perhaps you're talking about the box on Google.com, where you enter your query. If you're not using a nicely tweaked (via IEAK) build of IE like we have at work, you might have AutoComplete available - this stores things you enter into forms. This can be cleared in a different part of IE (and luckily enough, I'm sitting at my friend's sweet 2 PC setup with a KVM b/t Linux & XP) - Tools->Internet Options->Content->Auto Complete...->Clear Forms. I'd really suggest you turn that feature off, and henceforth, also that you use Mozilla Firefox [Big Grin] .

thanks dman. [Big Grin] not only are you the perfect gentleman, but also the perfect geek.

actually the reason i want to clean google is because i am secretary of a local charity that restores concrete channelised rivers, and we had a meeting at my house to discuss updating the website.

i let the tenants use my laptop, which is fine except when they download viruses and use all my printer paper. they obviously use google to search for things.

whilst i was demonstrating things to the committee a lot of embarrassing things came up in google. not good!

hey, i don't mind explaining my perversions (cheez fornication, extreme dairy love, fermenting fury etc), but don't like explaining other people's dark areas!

love, peace and (erotic) cheez
