I thought I'd stop by to see how Xanthine is doing considering the wildfires... Then I couldn't leave without saying "hello" to all the familiar names! :-)

Hello!
The wildfires haven't affected me much at all, other than gunk up the air. A chunk of Boulder I don't live in was under pre-evacuation orders due to a fire in the open space that surrounds the city, but that order got lifted a couple days ago. The fire itself is coming under control thanks to a nice break in the weather. I think they've got the edges threatening human habitation contained. It'll be a while before anyone goes hiking in that area, though. We're feeling lucky; there was real fear that southwestern Boulder would end up like northwestern Colorado Springs.

Glad to hear you're OK, Xanthine. I have some family in Colorado Springs, but the last I heard they did not need to evacuate.
