Anybody ever been there. I haven't. heard it was nice.
I am quitting my job, moving to VT, and am going to be an unemployed bum in VT for the next couple years.

so scared to choose to be unemployed.

Oh cool! I've been on the other side of Lake Champlain, and it is really nice there. Gorgeous.
Plus you are super close to Montreal, which is one great city!

I did, just mixing things up a bit before my daughte is in school and i can't just move 10,000km to somewhere i have never been before.
i'll move back to europe before my daughter starts school.

Oh...I think I've pieced things together now.
To rephrase:
You're moving to VT in October and going to be a stay-at-home dad until your daughter is of age to attend school in Europe.
Momentarily forgetting that your daughter is quite young, I took 'until she goes to school' to mean 'September,' and hence considered your stay in VT an opportunity to get familiar with it in expectation of moving there someday for completely random reasons. ![[Razz]](tongue.gif)

So I found a house I want to rent in Burlington.
stupid credit ratings
So paying off $20,000 in college loans and a $13,000 car loan without ever missing a payment doesn't quaify one for a good credit rating...
...or at least it is not enough to rent a house for $1600 a month My credit report is all green.
They told me my credit score wasn't good enough
to rent the house.
I don't have a good credit score because I don't have credit cards and becaue I have paid cash for my last three cars instead of getting loans.
Because of this I am a risk to rent to.
They would much rather have someone who buys stuff on credit all the time I guess.
p.s.
and by they I mean Hickok and Boardman in Burlington VT.
