Was going down a road in Ann Arbor, and there was a lady checking her mail while still in her car.

I was driving about 45mph and moved to the center of the road to pass her by and this is what she did.

She didnt look to see if anyone was coming and pulled out into the road to turn around.

I had two options.

1. T-Bone her.
2. Brake and swerve

Well my mind went with option two.

And that put me in this situation.

 -

Have to call AAA to come get me out!!!!!!

STUPID DRIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Mr. Sprocket!

That sure is bad luck.

If you did not tell us what happened I would think you were deer hunting!

Be glad that you are safe and not hurt. And be glad she is safe too!

Stupid people are people, too! Almost. Ha-ha-ha!

We all need stupid people or there would be no smart ones.

I hope you feel better soon.

Have a great day!

Mr. Geek 2U!

Sprocket - glad to hear you're ok [Eek!]

Just my $0.02 - if events unfolded exactly as you described....and if I had been driving a truck of, shall we say, less than "concourse-standard" presentation....I'd have rammed her off the road rather than me take a tumble into a ditch.

Not an approach that seems aligned to my general tree-hugging outlook on life, I admit, but...well....people that stupid need to encounter some serious consequences arising from their actions, or else they will never stop doing these stupid things.

And if that seems a bit extreme, well - you can't reason with stupid, but you can give stupid a good reason to change its behaviour! [Wink]

I'd've done what Sprocket did, actually. Going into the ditch wasn't necessarily a guarantee, and I'm too selfish to T-bone someone just to teach them a lesson.

No you can't! I'm a Chevy/Toyota truck guy myself, but Ford Rangers are damn near unstoppable!
