Okay so today was just (insert positive expletive of choice) GREAT!!!
I had an interview at about 10 this morning at the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Pottawatomie Indians at the Pine Creek Reservation (to all the Michigan geeks: yes the ones putting in the new FireKeepers Casino in Emmett twp. {Battle Creek}) They are looking for a new Systems/Network Administrator for the reservation. They told me that they are going to overlook my age and lack of degree in favor of my noticeable experience with network systems on the provision that I pursue a degree and full Certs. (MCITP here I come) I am so excited and happy it is just insane.

I am absolutely ecstatic right now. If I get this I will be responsible for 4 buildings in 2 locations (The administrative building, community center, and Health Center on the reservation and a building in Grand Rapids) This is the type of work I have been looking for and it has me so anxious that I even downloaded OS/2 Warp 4 on Bittorrent last night.

___________________ The real Stealth __ One thing I have noticed, That the traffic into and out of the local Casino has not declined. There are just as many high end cars and trucks parked there as before this little dip in the economy.
Does not seem to be any loss of gambling money.

That's a well-known phenomenon, people gamble more when times are tough.
The theory goes something like this...
I'm 3 months behind in the rent, and facing eviction, that last $10 in my wallet won't do me much good, but if I take it to the casino, Lady Luck might get me out of trouble.
Of course, if Lady Luck was on my side, I wouldn't be in that mess in the first place.

Hey Stealth, excellent news! (Really nice to hear some good job news these days.) Sounds like an excellent position for building your resume. Don't worry about OS/2. It's a piece of cake. Much less irritating to support than Windows.
