"Wow Mom, you wrote such nice things about Grandma in your journal, I'm really touched." "What? What are you talking about?" "See, right here where you said that she would always be in our hearts and we would forever feel the loss." "Oh, God, if this is here then what did I send to the Times?!"

Interesting commentary and follow-up.

Sad that the woman apparently did so little of worth with her life. Can't say I'm surprised that it's real, though. It reminds me of some of the works of Christopher Titus and George Lopez, since they both put together comedy routines (and later TV shows), partly based around their unpleasant childhoods.

Wow.

I hope the druidlings find something nice to say about me when the time comes.
Hmmm... maybe I should write my own now, like the viking who commissioned this runestone...

(paraphrased, from memory of the Viking Museum in Denmark):
This stone is to the memory of Olaf the ships captain.
He had this stone made while he lived, because he knew no [email protected]@rd would bother when he was dead.

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.
