I love blogging. I usually just don't keep it up. So I decided to start a small one that will only last till my birthday.

How many of you have a stop and start thing with blogging? [crazy]

Well, I have a Livejournal that I try to keep up, but yeah I have frequent dry spells ranging from a few days to a few weeks. Mostly I just don't think my life is interesting enough to other people and I don't want to bore everyone with kid pictures.

So come on, where is your blog so we can read it? [Big Grin]

I got one, see my .sig. It is the third or fourth one I have had.

Warning: it is just babbling about my motorcycle and cussing.

I am very regular with it, at least once a week. But one thing I noticed is that the random ones tend to go up and down and then die off. But if you have a particular purpose to it, it seems to keep moving.

I know that each week I'll have something to add to it. Even if it is, "I sanded a fender and gouged my hand. *&%*&^#$!!!!" At least I did something in the subject. I also have a vanity one, that may get updated. But many times I get ready to post and decide that it isn't important or interesting enough to bother.

I have a blog on Xanga, and I have a bit of a blog on Yappi.com, but I don't post every day.

I have my little blog, but it hasn't changed much in the last few months. I've just started to get into Pownce, which I guess counts as a mini blog. You'll have to add me as a friend to see most of my posts though.

I've started three blogs over the last few years. The first two I ended intentionally. One was too public and I felt censored in what I could say about myself. The other was fun but was ultimately useless in expressing myself.

The current one is, I think, pretty close to what I want. I don't provide links to it except to friends that I talk to regularly. I do keep it updated reasonably often because it is an outlet for things that I can't/won't say elsewhere.

I'm not sure if that qualifies as start/stop blogging or not.

Glad to see you're starting it up again, LS [Smile]

I have the one in my profile, and I've had a few prior. I tend to migrate content from each to the next, since my reasons for creating new ones are almost entirely technical. You know, from one site to a better site, etc.

Hmmm...very interesting, I know what I'll be reading tonight! [Big Grin]
I love blogs, I'm not sure why. I have about ten journals that are only half full. This because 1) I'm left handed, so I tend to right into the ink (ick) and 2) it takes to long! Haha, so I must type, I enjoy typing more actually.

p.s. my link is in my profile now...if anyone cares to read my random silly ramblings and odd cartoons drawn in paint. [crazy]

I've had two. One of them is completely uncensored and much more fun -- but it doesn't get written in anymore. A few people have actually seen it, and nobody that I wrote about in it has seen it. I'm much more witty and verbose when I think nobody is watching (I think I called my old roommate's mother a "crazen clump of nutrient-rich uterine lining" once...)

the other on livejournal (which I've written in for five years) has become more of a glorified message board for plan-making and other such nonsense.

I have my original one at blogger.com. It's been there for 4~ years, and I go through months where I write daily, then not at all for 2 weeks.

It's completely uncensored, hence, I don't hand the url out freely. I am a bit off the vanilla-beam so to speak and it's not my intention to freak people out [Razz]

I love blogging. I wish I were inspired more often lately. I miss writing in it.

I have a LiveJournal blog, which is friends only--but I'm not too picky about who I let friend me. I update it sporadically, mostly comics or jokes, occasionally just my rambling thoughts or events that have occurred. It definitely does not follow a pattern.

Err... no it doesn't delete them. It only displays ten at a time, though, starting with the most recent ten. There's a link on the left to go to older entries. All your entries should be there.

The thing with me and blogging is that those of us who blog really are putting ourselves, our lives, our feelings, our emotions, out there for all the world to see. And that's a little scary.
And that comment button...esh. It can be good or bad. I've only had good comments (only five comments...ever! lol) (so far...dun dun dun dun!!!!) but it made we aware that other people were reading what I said. And that was more then a little scary. It's like opening up a door to your mind.

You really just have to learn to write for yourself. If you write thinking "what if someone see's this? what will they think? will they flame me for it? blah blah blah..." that's a lot of pressure.

And of course when I say "you" I mean you generally not you spasificlly. Now...I need to go turn on my spell check because this is full of misspelled words, and...go to bed.

Oh but first on a side note...who's going to see the new Harry Potter flick tonight at midnight? (ME!!!!) are you? (general.) [Big Grin]

I think you might be romanticizing this blogging thing too much. Yeah, I can see how it might be a window to your brain... or something... but most people aren't thinking of it that way.

Honestly, unless you're an extremely profound and astonishing writer - and not many are - then you're very likely writing someone thats going in one eye and out the other for most readers.

Unless you're Charles Manson. Or Marilyn Manson. Then everything you say is likely to be memorized directly into everyone ever's brainspace.
"I took three dumps today!"
"dude... Manson is regular. I need to remember that."

BA I'm sorry, but you have no imagination...at all.

My whole point of my last post was that you just have to write for your self. And that sometimes it's hard when you worry about what others will think and you let that affect your posts. Of course I've gotten over that and I just view my blog as a play pen for me to shoot off random ideas along with anything else I want. [Razz]

Now...over-romanticize things? Me? Not likely while I am a romantic, I can see the world for what it is.

All that said...if you burst my bubble, which you tried but failed awfully at...I will come over there with a sharp pen and burst your frail life after college bubble. [evil]
