Yeah. Editthis.info wasn't good enough for me, and now 5gigs isn't good enough for me (actually, I tinkered with it and it broke), so I'm moving my Invader Zim Wiki to an actual server.

Comment.

Server software? Operating system? Hardware? Wiki software (actually, I'm looking for a good python-based wiki package).

Sounds like fun... I've set up/written very simple webservers that run on my home cable (used to be dialup back in the day!) connection so I can grab files when I need them.

I'm using Fedora Core 4... some crappy Dell system... 20gig hard drive... eh, I'm good enough. Besides, I have one of those books on Red Hat, which I've discovered is applicable to FC4.

I can't imagine that it would be much different to install it on the server than in cpanel. If you want to see the non-working one, go here.

Day 2: Things are going very not well... mostly because it's not hooked up to the Internet. And that thing is ugly...ing up the computer room. Just look at it. *shudder*

*shrug* My stuff is all beige and generic looking, the Mac clone, the Pentium PC and my old 486. (And all the other stuff lying around, with the exception of the BBC Micros)

What gets me, is that my 486 is tiny, my Mac clone is somewhat bigger, and the newer PC is larger still, huge thing. I thought this stuff was meant to be getting smaller over time?! ;)

No, that view is what I see when I turn around from this computer. It's just plain ugly.
