Anyone else seen this?

I saw this when it first came out. Not the midnight showing like I did with Watchers. But I did go see it with a friend the first day.

This movie takes place around the time of the original crew of the Enterprise (Kirk, Spock, Uhura .....) are in the Star Fleet Academy. and their first mission. I did enjoy the movie a lot. I thought it was really good. It happens in a slightly different alternate universe then the original. I won't give details on why so as to not ruin the plot if someone still hasn't seen it.

I thought for the most part they did a good job with casting (Zoe Seldona is HOT, HOT, HOT). Except for Kirk. It's some kid that looks a little out of place and doesn't act much like the original Captain. But maybe that was on purpose to show how he matured and aged.

As for the sets they did some really cool shots. The Romulan ship I thought was well done and the high altitude fight scene was really cool. They tied Sulu's fencing skills into that one. But the Bridge of the Enterprise was a little over done. I like that they put new technology concepts into it but should have made it look a little like the original.

The actors are under a 3 movie contract and I will be making it to the next two when they come out.

One little spoiler that I thought was really cool. Kirk finally gets a Green girl (Orion Slave girl I presume)

There's nothing wrong with me, This is how I'm supposed to be.
