I've been learning how to build python-based web pages, and as a learning exercise I wrote this little script that I thought Spungo might find amusing.

Hit refresh to get a new historical quote.

As Queen Elizabeth VII said to an army of 40,000 Germans while at The attack on Pearl Harbour - "If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me?"

I LOLed so hard.

As Spungo said before eating a kitten - That's the second-biggest arrow I ever saw"

Why thank you sir.

I spent the commercial breaks last night adding more text to the templates list, (including a few Spungoisms, just for you) so the results should be a bit less repetitive.

On a geeky note:

I'm fairly impressed with python, not counting the template text, my little script is only a couple of dozen lines. It would take far more than that in most of the programming languages I'm familiar with.

A good, easy to use, nicely structured language.

Sounds like a challenge, dragon. So who is the fastest coder in the West? He's knit one, are you going to perl one?

I seem to recall from my limited experience evaluating the Django framework for work that Python is very picky about how things are indented. What the crap is with that?

Meanwhile, Perl is rather nice for some things, but I wouldn't build an enterprise app with it.

I'm pretty sure all programming languages suck to some degree.

Am I dead yet?

Let the language wars begin...

What's the difference between perl code and line noise?

If you're stoned enough, you start to see meaning in line noise.
