Of course they won't have the power to just enact their platform, but discussion about things like fair-use, privacy, and patent reform can only increase with their presence.

They might not have a big enough stick to beat the issue over the head proper, but they just gained enough stick to persistently prod the rest of them in the ribs until something happens
