Greetings fellow geeks!
I'm cypher (i took the handle technologic for the forum because cypher was already taken...). I've suddenly discoverd I have an alterego, and he's a geek. Usually i'm in my geeky form, but somtimes the other side comes calling. I was thinking of learning how to build some boxes and ham radios (can't hardly wait to get started). I've lazed around all my life, and a few days back I woke up, 15 years of age and tierd of over sleeping. I can feel my geeky side taking over like crack in a addicts vein. I have four months left till my finals...this education system sucks so I'm planning to do the IB curriculum for grade 11 and 12 (have any of you done it?). I'm happy that theres a place for geeks alike, If it were up to me we would have our own country (somthing like 01 in animatrix). That's it for now.

Like some crazy geek exodus! But then we'd have to learn all those useful life skills that non-geeks are so conveniently placed to do for us.
Welcome, technologic

Hey, I've wanted to build some ham-radio equipment too. Unfortunately, my schedule doesn't permit me much free time to engage in my hobbies
Anyways, welcome to the boards! You will have much fun here.

NWNF, I have the same problem, my exams are in four months and I hav'nt started, but NWNF we'll have our ham radio. Speaking of skills that non-geeks are taking advantage of, geeks need a special skill set, so lets start describing it(skills that geeks need if you don't follow..) 1. CPA- Constant Partial Attention, very important for all the multitasking we require.
P.S.- nice link P.P.S - Yngwie rules!
