____ 2 Meters good for less than 35 mile radius, riding a good ion track maybe 1k miles.

It was a nice clear night, but not that spectacular a show for us. It started out good at 11:30 pm, I saw 4 meteors within 5 minutes or so, then a couple nice fireballs with trails, but then it kinda dried up around 12am.
We did have an owl hooting nearby, and a bat scared the guano out of me by flying up close, but there were just a few more fast streaks and that was it for the next half hour.
Can't beat staring up at the night sky though.

As grateful as we are for rain in August around here, it rendered viewing impossible. Thanks to littlefish for posting a link with the remarkable videos!
