I'm stupefied!

Using a Mac and being part of the .05 society is kinda cool thing. Like wearing black in summertime in Beverly Hills. Certainly it's not the kind of thing where you could spot two houses in a row in the middle of an average middle class neighborhood, in the middle of Iowa and say, "I bet those two houses have Macs!"

Isn't there some kind of rule where if you have a Mac, then your neighbor has to be a smug, self-satisfied, 49-year old Dell Dude with a leaning toward Jehovah's-Witness-like preaching?

This guy runs his own business and you know what he told me, "Every time I talked about a Windows PC, the people talked about configuring the right machine. It sounded so complicated. Jeez! I just wanted a computer I could plug in and use right away!" Wow! He sounded just like a commercial. Like that stuff ever works? @@@!

Now, before some of you more statistically oriented types get all over me and say something like, "It's not statistically improbable," or worse, I want to share one more thing with you ...

The family on the other side of my neighbor who got the new Mac, they have a Mac, TOO!

Now, you more statistically inclined people tell me, what are the chances? Hmmmm? I'm looking for accuracy to four decimal points here, too. What are the chances!?

I've heard God works in mysterious ways, but is this is a sign that Satan must be slipping?

Needless to say, they're all idiots. Not to insult other PC users, but they are. I'm sure using a PC does not make you an idiot (I know some really nice people who use PCs) but it seems so funny that with a new PC comes the unholy wrath of idioticness...

b) Monospace vs. proportional type - the textarea edit box where you enter the post is in monospace type, but the topics are always displayed in proportional type, and this will greatly alter the appearance of any ASCII art.

The easiest solution is to wrap the text in a [ CODE] tag, which preserves formatting exactly as entered in the edit box, but under IE it will come out in really tiny writing (at least on my PC here it does).

Um, in light of your linux tshirt design, you are aware that a non-mac computer does not necessarily have to run windows, right?

And as a side note... I'm not entirely sure where to post this or what to think of it. I tried looking at the "Lindows" web site, but I couldn't find any actual information on it.

There are a couple of reviews here and here that provide some useful insight. Short answer is that it's not absolutely horrible, but not all that good either.
