Yes, I know it's a shallow question, but SOMEONE had to ask it. Anyway... I can't say that I got what I wanted, it doesn't look like we have world peace yet, but...I am rather happy with what I DID get.

Let's see...the biggy is that Santa gave me four new tires! Tres-cool! No more sliding around for me!

I also got socks and underwear, and one particularly cool pair of underwear at that....

Yes, I have them on right now....and, if you'd like to see a picture of me in them.....maybe we can arrange something.

Most of my gifts were gift cards and certificates. That's normal because I'm hard to buy for (i.e. I buy almost everything I want, so there's nothing left for other people to get me). I did get a lot of great looks from people when I handed over their gifts which were festively wrapped... green is festive and Christmas-ish, right?

Best thing I got was a Lego Snowspeeder -- now out of production and rapidly getting tough to find.

Second best thing was a massive box o jelly beans.

And some new dragons, and a bat amulet, and lots o books.

I got an autographed picture of Tim Robbins, a stereo, an atomic clock, season 2 of "Monty Python" on DVD, a key locator (I think Dad got tired of me losing my keys all the time), Bath and Body Works moisturizer and lip balm, a choker, and a $45 gift certificate to Hot Topic. My best friend gave me underwear, and my boyfriend gave me swords. All in all, nice presents this year.

I got a new Kitchen-Aid mixer which I used to make Christmas cookies for everyone (I got it early). And a new digital camera. We never had one before, so I'm finally up to date. My hubby got a GPS unit for his Palm V. So, some way cool gadgets were had by all.

A Brother P-Touch label maker with QWERTY keyboard. Lots of miscellaneous things like an immersion heater for traveling (for heating up water for tea on trips), a Eurosealer(!), a LOT of sweets, various clothing things including some nice leather gloves, a pair of jeans, slacks, a shirt, a nice light jacket, a little wrist-assist that has a flashlight and toolholder and magnetic disc (for screws)and tape measure, a poor Pets.com finger sock puppet, eyeglass repair kit (I love those), and... and 3vi1 133t t-shirt.

We mostly went practical this year. (Though I'm working, no money came in just yet...). Julie gave me Luggage, though this one has wheels instead of feet and teeth. My mom-in-law gave me a nice L. L. Bean flannel shirt (not in "I'm a Lumberjack and I'm OK" plaid, but it will do).

Best of all, I got a raise, retroactive to Dec 1th. My first paycheck will arrive shortly, and it'll be right nice. Need to research how to handle the taxes and such, but life is pretty good.

I gave J a scarf from Lanz of Salzburg. Definately scored some hubby points.

A trip to Ecuador, and some more gear. I went up above 18,000' and slept at 15,000'. More when I'm done recovering... 5 summits in seven days (ten days total - we took some rest!) kinda beats the stuffing out of you...

I'm gonna get an iPod.
I say gonna because Apple has a long delivery time where they get 14 working days to ship and the mail-department get 4 days to deliver.
My iPod was ordered December 15th, but won't be shipped till next Monday.

And has anybody else noticed Apples international cooperation, as everything is designed in California, assembled in Ireland and stored in Asia!?!

A trip to the Florida Keys (not terribly exciting), some cash, and from myself a Sony Discman so I can finally get some use out of my CD collection. I'm considering putting the cash towards some better headphones to use with the CD player.
