Hi.. my name is Elise.. justelise..
I never managed to get around to posting here and I figured I should. Here's a little bit about me I s'pose. I'm 26 years old, obviously female, and originally from NYC but marooned in Orlando, FL (where retired NY'ers come to die) surrounded by people on Social Security. Therefore, as you can imagine, I've latched on to my computer so I can communicate with the outside world (meaning people who aren't receiving their Pension checks every month). I have also started graduate school at University of Phoenix Online so that further tethers me to my bawx.
I am a Mac geek (one of the few, the proud) and I escaped from the Windows world about two years ago. I also run linux when I get the chance (mostly on those old PCs I have laying about with inches of dust on them). I have a penchant for writing and for web design (visit my blog: http://www.justelise.org/journal/ ).
I guess I'm here thanks to DigitalBill who told me about the site and stuff. So blame him if I go off on tangents and quibble over minutia. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I hope he's never tried to show you what's under his kilt.

Did I mention I drive a Volkswagen Microbus?
Hey MacMan, if you're going to use that pick-up line, you might want to change your .sig !

And did I mention that I drive (as Xanthine summed up so well ) a piece of sh*t truck? :-P. http://dragonman97.isa-geek.org/dragon/truck-28aug03/
Hmm, I should probably note that this is not my personal vehicle, but rather the bit of fun I get to use at work when I want to bring computers or packages with new toys a substantial distance. It is actually a decent bit of fun, even though its clutch is a real pain some times, and reverse is sort of iffy .

That there's some big talk for a geek. I don't think you can back it up. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

I can too back it up... it's just that most people have trouble finding Reverse in my van. It's easy... push straight down, then into second gear. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
