Yeah, definitely a small world! You went to NIU?...world gets even smaller... I don't know how well you know the Rockford area but I live in Cherry Valley...right by the haunted bridge...(a local legend...just didn't know if you'd heard about it or not)
How did you like NIU? I've considered it but didn't know anyone who had gone there.

Cherry Valley-isn't that the big mall there??(leave it to me to know that)
I loved NIU. The campus is beautiful-especially in Fall. It used to be known as a "teacher's college", so I know the education dept. is good, and I have a few friends who graduated in CompSci and have great jobs. I liked it because they had a great Political Science department, and still do. I went back for a graduate class on Burma. They are the hub of Southeast Asian studies in Illinois. It still has kind of a friendly feel, even though it's a big school.
My other choice was DePaul, but I wanted to get away from home!

Yeah, the Cherry Vale mall in Cherry Valley (bordering Rockford). Nice mall, nice town, nice area.

Across the Ohio river from Huntington, West Virginia. It's an area where Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia all meet. Some of us call it KYOVA, some "The Tri-State". Nice place to say you're "FROM"! eDJ

I'm from Connecticut (Middletown) but I live in Southern California now (Costa Mesa, Orange County). I miss the turn of the seasons but enjoy the sunny weather of Cal.

I'm from the complex plane, myself. Right at 17+3i. It's a nice place, but the guys in 17+2i throw these big parties that last all night. And they always blare their fractal music. It gets really annoying after awhile.

Good ol' Pennsylvania. Farm country. 555 middle-of-nowhere avenue. Small Close-knit. We argue about what tastes best on scrapple. What is scrapple you may ask...my dear THAT is a question for the ages.

Mmmmm... scrapple. I used to have scrapple for breakfast when I lived in Pennsylvania.
And ketchup is what goes on scrapple, darnit!
