Not the Mafia type though

My best friend in Geneva's wife gave birth to a little girl on friday night, Anaïs, 4.1kgs (about 9lbs), and they asked me to be the godfather (actually they asked me 7 months ago).

Ah well, one day, if I am lucky I will have children of my own.

Over the weekend, I mentioned to someone that I was going to have to stuff my cheeks with cotton wool and speak with an Italian accent and they asked me to explain what I meant

Actually the thoughts were more along the lines of, "cement shoes" and "how deep is Lake Geneva?" .

(Thanks for the complement or is it? )

Obligatory ethnically-insensitive joke:

Did you hear about the mafioso who was half Italian and half Polish?

He made himself an offer he couldn't understand.

Anaïs is such a beautiful name. It's been in my top ten of the "what I want to name my kid if I ever have one" list for a while now.
