What happened to relationships between humans ? When did we lose the capability to interact with the fella next door and not getting hurt? Lately when I have the strange oportunity of starting a friendship I feel like preparing for an olympic marathon.

The other day I heard a saying in a movie: " Finally I could overcome the failed relationship, but I wasn´t unharmed."

Years go by and I tend to think that the more experienced in life and friendships, the harder to keep the good friends running for the long way.

Somber thoughts ? A cloud over me ? Who knows...and who cares....

I've been trying to figure that out lately myself. Fear is rampant in the world, and fear's offspring Hate is also very aparent. Fear drives us apart, for we fear being hurt, we fear not being accepted, we fear not being loved. Really, though, what we fear is other people's fear, other people's hate.

The world, by and large, is forgetting how to love; forgetting how to give without expecting repayment, knowing that the rewards of giving in love are repayment enough.

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

Sorry, couldn't resist, but there is much to learn from Yoda [Wink]

There's much truth in this. Look at the suffering in Iraq. Look at the suffering in Afghanastan. For that matter, look at the suffering in America.

All from fear. [shake head]

whoah, getting a bit deep for me. I might have to go watch some movies or do some other distracting activity.

Don't you mean, "Use the source, Luke"?

Personally I think the world is improving, although slowely. Afterall we might think it is bad now but imagine how much worse it was say 1000 years ago.

It's pretty much the same, except we have more advanced and impersonal ways of killing each other.
