I know some things are just inconceivable, but...

... I had to skip that Joypoll because my option wasn't there. I've never had a Facebook account in the first place. There's nothing to delete.

Or Myspace.

Or Twitter.

Greycat! That's another name from Ye Olde Forums and the days of yore.

I thought it was probably a pretty accurate depiction of facebook account "deletion." I fully expect the follow-up to be Snaggy and Nitro's plea for rescue from Mark Zuckerberg's data dungeon disguised as a comic.

Same here. I chose "already done" as in: "in the best way to make sure they don't have any of my data around - they never had it to begin with". But yes, "I don't have one [Razz] " option is missing.

(All I have is a Livejournal account for my Second Life character, and it's the most I'll ever put in some social networking site. Even that Google calendar I have is kept neatly detail-less. If someone has to know where I am and what I do, I'll tell them myself.)

Hear hear, greycat!

I think Facebook has some clever functionality, and /could/ be a very useful tool, but the privacy invasions grow by the day. I was leery of it years ago, and now it's just downright creepy. Mark Zuckerberg is severely lacking in character, and his company feeds on that.

For all intents and purposes, I don't have Fb, and that serves me just fine.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one. I don't feel any need to splay my life open for the whole world to see.
