Still dunno what's going to be in the big announcement, but I suspect something like this would be a cool way to carry it.

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

____ I thought that you would need:

First a Faraday Cage, with very fine screen to keep the ideas in.

Second a lead shell to prevent the hypothetical idea contained from leaking.

Third all handlers would have to have their tongues removed, to prevent disclosure.

I think you missed one. The iTablet will have anti-gravity (it's been promised on every rumoured Apple gadget for years so has to be on this one) so it'll simply hover along with me.

Today's comic with the oversized pocket protector got me thinking: would the iPad fit in the ceramic plate sleeve of a Kevlar vest? I think that would be a very cool look, though it might not be interpreted well by the average civilian. Maybe Apple could do a product sponsorship with 24 where Jack Bauer carries an iPad around that way, the iPad takes a bullet for him, followed by the obligatory "DAMMIT!"

If you're clever and put the right colour material over the kevlar vest plus make the screen visible out of the front, you'll appear quite friendly to the civvies as you'd look like a Tellytubby [Smile]

Also one rumour has it that Fox already have Jack Bauer using an iPad in an upcoming episode of 24 [Wink]
