Seeing a puppet go to Las Vegas is kinda hilarious to me.
It's kinda funny how Fash popped out of the suitcase and dance/jumps with joy because they're in Las Vegas. Too bad Fash can't talk or cheer with the girls.. [ September 13, 2006, 07:23: Message edited by: Snaggy ]

Is there anything that can be done to discourage Tyler's boring spamming. Anything we can do to remove any personal benefit to him if someone here clicks through to his dreary ad?

Not really. Spammers of this sort are usually paid to start accounts on forums, put a few non spam posts times to different topics to establish themselves, then start spamming. They don't make anything for clickthroughs or any other metrics other than getting their spam onto the forums.
Banning the accounts is typically the only solution.

Interesting links Sxepto, which highlight the practical problems inherent in this, and indeed any other form of underhand dishonest marketing, namely that once you are found out, you create a negative feeling about the very thing you are supposedly trying to promote.
Anyway tyler/ribbit we know exactly who you are, so please just go away.

Sxeptomaniac - Those are indeed interesting links, but is there any more info that I am missing beyond the name tyler?
Is there a possibility that the existence of two marketeers with the same name is a coincidence?

Well we know they are both called Tyler Allen, and from this link which he posted earlier it looks like he lives near the guerilla PR office, so I'd say the chances of him not being their Online Marketing Manager are remote. In this thread he accidentally got his two online identities muddled when he replied to a question directed to tyler as ribbit, so I think that it is very unlikely that they are separate people too.
Interestingly the earlier posts he made here show some signs of personality and the faint flickerings of what might possibly be an intelligence, but all his spam posts seem to come from someone severely retarded, so I would suggest that he is either not very good at his job or less than 100% comitted to it.

Exactly GMx! This man is even below your ordinary spammer in the food chain, as at least spam emails do not pretend to be anything other than what they are. I also occurred to me that should Tyler or anyone else from his seedy little company of con artists attempt the same thing under another identity, we might consider emailing the client list on their web site individually suggesting that associating themselves with dishonest spammers adds no lustre to their corporate image.

The most annoying thing about this guy's company, IMO, is that they don't seem to be particularly good at it, only unscrupulous. They don't really do any targeted marketing, only pushing whatever they currently are trying to sell, like the time Tyler/Ribbit tried to convince us Eminem is actually pretty good.
