Hey there,

I am a student at UT Austin . I am doing a project on multi-factor authentication to understand what people like about it and what they would like to see in a product for personal use. Since you guys really understand the techie world and its issues , I wanted to post this topic here.

I have created a survey to get some good quesions answered . I would highly appreciate if you guys can fill it up -

My experience with surveys is that the questions do not cover all aspects. I do not use Social Media, I do not do on-line banking or Stock trading. Most surveys only ask the questions that the developer wants to hear about. There should be more responses of Does Not Apply. There should be a method of going back in case an answer was wrong.

Most surveys are written to get the results that the study wants to prove.

done, also, your survey seems biased and designed to get the responses you want. I use multipfactor authenicationall the time, but not the types you described. Whwat about people who want MFA but don't want to use SMS services ( are SMS services even secure) I don't trust my cell phone to be secure.. I take it everywhere wiht me. What if I leave it at a bar, I don't want to think that a person is already half way into my bank account if I loose my cell.

No, I like sheets of one time passwords that are sent registered mail, or picked up at the bank. I can safely keep this sheet locked in a safe at home and use it when I log in ( in conjuction with other security measurds).

I think the only way someone will get accss to my online banking is through the XKCD wrench method of password cracking. [Frown]
