Good ole Sol has a habit of having an eleven year solar cycle, The cycle is now approaching a high point. This past week there have been several Coronal Mass Ejections. These events affect radio communications, Broadcast TV and Radio, GPS, Power lines, and computer systems. They also provide the fuel for the Northern and Southern Auras.

So for a while Cell Phones, and all the gadgets we use will or may act funky, or stop working for a while.

Nasa has a site that you can watch a graphic of the solar winds and projections of same.
