quote: Quoth the article: Two University of Colorado at Boulder students are accused of bringing marijuana-laced brownies to a college class, sickening their unsuspecting professor and five classmates, police said on Sunday... ...three of those who ate the brownies were hospitalized, suffering from the effects of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active property in marijuana.
Okay, first, everybody needs to just chill! Second, hospitalized?! for weed?!. ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)

The people who were hospitalized were suffering from unexplained dizziness, sleepiness and other symptoms. A mini stroke can have the same symptoms. A few other life threatening conditions can also have the same symptoms.
Are you seriously suggesting that people should just ignore unexplained symptoms that could indicate a life threatening problem and assume everything is fine?

Dosing people without their knowledge just isn't cool.
It's not really different than putting laxative in something as a prank - the only reason it isn't seen as bad as that, or even viewed as akin to GHB - is because it's viewed as being 'cool, man.' If you /expect/ your brownies to be more than brownies, or are drinking, and fully expect to feel the effects, that's one thing. Springing this on someone without foreknowledge...extremely uncool. (And probably an offense worthy of expulsion.)

++uncool. Family member of a friend gets very nasty psychotic episodes when he smokes weed. Like "OMG hide the knives and call the cops" nasty. Doing this to someone without their knowledge or consent is just plain dumb.

I guess I didn't account for the "surprise" factor; I suppose it could be unnerving if you weren't expecting it. Add to that the sheer uneasyness of not *knowing* what's the cause... okay, I get it.
Also, in my defense, I never said, nor even intended to imply, that dosing someone without their knowledge is cool, because it's not.
