Oh...erm...now I follow the 11/11 bit. Somehow I was more keenly aware of the fact that today is the 'observed day,' and I guess I never learned that 11/11 is the actual day. D'oh! (Ironically enough, I know a vet who couldn't get a blood test today, because the lab was closed.)

There are two back to back days in Nov.

The 10th: Wreck of the Fitz. and the Birthday of the USMC.

The 11th: Armistice Day/Veterans Day

Then the bank and Post office holiday that can be Friday or Monday.
