Melbourne has, once again, been named The Best Place In The World To Live. Australia took 4 of the top 10 spots, (5 if you count Vienna) Canada got 3. My only real complaint about Melbourne is the glare from the roads, but that's what happens when you pave them with Gold...

There may be some cobblestones in those roads, or at least in airline practices.

The Famous Druid wrote Melbourne has, once again, been named The Best Place In The World To Live
Out of the 140 cities that were included, that is.
The other thousands of cities on the planet... eh, who cares. Only LARGE cities are livable, right? Bigger is always better.
There are 490 places with over a million people, but 350 of those just aren't large enough. Nobody could possibly be happy living in one of those tiny little middle-of-nowhere places.
Here's where you can buy a copy of the actual study if anyone wants to see it so badly that they'll cough up some cash (you can register to download a summary, but my guess would be the summary is exactly what has been printed in the news articles). Just $3,150 for 30 days of access or $5,250 for a full year of access to the report! It's a BARGAIN!
The cynical part of me thinks this 'study' is primarily a way to cash in on people's desire for validation. The other part of me wishes I'd come up with the idea first.
