In the news today, the longtime head of a tech operation has decided to step down. He is highly regarded by those in the community, and he will be missed.

No, I'm not talking about Steve Jobs. I'm talking about Rob "CmdrTaco" Malda, who has stepped down as Editor-in-Chief of Slashdot.org:

After 14 years of nursing his baby from a tiny little news site to the tech news powerhouse it is today, Malda is hanging it up. Will he be spending more time with a certain group of pool babes in the future? (What would his wife say about that? [Eek!] )
