I really liked the way they laid out the foods the people of each country eat. It's not entirely representative, I'm sure, but I still thought it was interesting enough to share. I'm a bit saddened by the dearth of anything that looks natural in the US photo (and my groceries for a week look nothing at all like that photo).

Note: I've been told that the site has popups, although I didn't experience any in Firefox or Opera with popup blocking enabled.

Very helpful key detail missing until further down...prices/quantity appears to be for one week.

Also....aww how cute - there's a veg or two thrown into the American pics. [Wink]

I hav seen these photos in the halways of a few airports now. This guy also does a "what people own" series that is also cool.

Well, I at least the USA families didn't have a massive row of Coca-Cola bottles in their stashes like the Mexican family. Small victories [Roll Eyes]

Commenter 26 pointed out some interesting comparisons, for sure.

I have a fun/stupid idea. I'm going to keep track of everything I eat during the week and take a similar photo (and I'll try to avoid eating anything really bizarre). Look for it in a bit more than week [Smile]

Grumpy took his life in his hands to evaluate a fast food salad a while ago. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?

Like Ugh mentioned, it might be the disassembled salad photos that you're thinking of, if not someone in another forum.

I take photos of my food rather more often than normal people do, I suspect, but I haven't taken a photo of a week of groceries. I have pretty good idea what I eat in a week, but I'm fascinated by the idea of seeing it visually displayed in a single photo. I normally stop by the store 2-4 times a week and buy small amounts, so I don't think I've ever had a full week's worth of groceries at one time.
