It is with some sadness that I read in the news of the death of Ingrid Pitt.

BBC News

A supporting actress in my favourite film, and a well-loved woman who, in her later years, was clearly mad as a box of frogs.

First it was E-War Woo-War, now Ingrid Pitt...and Chris L must surely go before too long. We are constantly reminded of our impending mortality.

Dragonman & Snagster, how touching that you wish to pay tribute to Ingrid Pitt in this way, though, if my memory serves me, there are two other reasons to watch this film. [Wink]

A sad loss - I always had a soft spot (or should that be 'hard spot'?) for the Hammer Horror Babes, and Ms Pitt was their queen.

btw - I had the misfortune to watch the Hollywood remake of The Wicker Man recently. Definitely a candidate for the 'Worst Remake - EVER!' award.

If you watch 'The History Of NASA' backwards, it's about a space agency that has no manned spaceflight capability, then does low-orbit flights, then lands on the Moon.

So sad. :-( I watched many a Hammer film starring Ingrid as a young lad. I don't know who was responsible for my first hard-on, her or Diana Rigg.

My first crush was in the form of a movie poster my older brother had... that seems like 1,000,000 years ago.
