GG, i saw that lumberjack show on Grouse when we were there in June 09. The attractiveness of the hotsaw thing is the competitive development of a tool for a very specific job.
It's the right scale too, in that I reckon I could afford to do it, unlike drag racing, for example.

I've owned several Stihl chainsaws over the years and have two right now.
I bought my first one after watching it demo-ed as "dropping through" the log like the ones in your video.
Don't know why, but I still love to cut firewood, then bring it home and split it.
