For some reason this article made me think of dman.

quote:
from TFA:
The naughty baristas of Cowgirls Espresso represent a new trend in and around Seattle — perhaps the most caffeinated city in America — and illustrate how cut-throat the competition can be in the home town of Starbucks.

Candice Law, leaning provocatively out of the drive-through window wearing a black bra that doesn't quite cover her shiny purple pasties, and Toni Morgan, wearing a skimpy halter top, see-through red-lace panties and chaps...

Wow. Tears just came to my eyes. Okay, that's really just because I'm tired...but I do remember the sights and smells of Seattle pretty fondly anyway. [Razz] Nothing like that when I was there...yowsers!

Still, some damn good coffee at Diva's Espresso...and then there's Mix. Mmmm...espresso on ice cream == pwns any 'coffee ice cream.'

That, dman, is because I never took you to Tukwila. Not much down there y'see, and it looks like Cowboy Espresso wasn't there in its present form yet anyways.

Though at least one of Seattle's weekly alternative newspapers does seek, find, and write up the hottest baristas in the area each year (and believe me, in a city where abandoned gas stations are converted into drive-thru espresso stands, and even bike shops sell lattes, there are A LOT of baristas)...

Yea, I guess one needs some extra incentive to drink american coffee. You see here on the other side of the pond cafés don't use gimmicks to stay open. They just serve good coffee. [Razz]
