I just clicked a button and paid the last of my debts online. After four years, eight months and eight days of making payments on huge credit card and medical bills, I have finally managed to pay them off. I can afford to spend money on luxury items now!

Go me [Smile]

Congratulations! It's a marvel when things get paid off, isn't it? I too am trying to pay down debts -- hopefully the new job can accelerate the process. But I understand the absolutely wonderful feeling of paying off and eliminating an oustanding debt.

I'm happy for you -- it's not a small task, nor is it something that should be taken lightly. It's a real accomplishment.

Congrats!

Last time I had just gotten out of debt I went out and purchased a new computer, sound system tires for my car.

Awesome! I am so happy for you! [Smile] Its sad that some people spend their entire lives paying off debt.

Its like they signed their life away to the bank.

Ahhh! Nice, isn't it?

Unfortunately for me, I bought a car when I was close to paying off the last of my study loans, so I somehow felt I was back to square one... Yet, I stand with only two major debth source: my car loan, and my mortgage, and both have some resale value, plus a nice coolness factor!

[Applause] way to go, Steen [Applause]

Getting yourself debt-free is a big achievement - I work in financial services and I know that lots of people don't have that self-discipline.

Another couple of months and then, apart from the Mortgage, we will be debt-free too. [Smile]
I bet it feels like a big pay-rise, doesn't it?? [Wink]

Thank you all [Smile]

I know what the next major thing I want to buy is, but it's going to take a while to save the money to start the process of buying it and I need to learn a lot so I don't screw up. Houses aren't cheap and it'll put me in debt for another 15 to 30 years, so I'm going to enjoy the feeling of freedom while it lasts.

Congratulations! You're an inspiration. I just mailed a student loan payment on Friday. I look forward to the day when I'm able to mail in my last payment.
