The BBC's radio server is down. Just popped in an old Madness CD. "One Step Beyond" is rocking. What is your favourite old CD?

Great one indeed. I'll add its ninth, Vivaldi's Winter, 1st movement (from The Seasons, in the remote case someone wouldn't know), and Saint-Saëns Introduction et Rondo capriccioso. And somewhere in there, I could pitch Dvorak 9th symphony "From the New World", 4th movement.
You mean, more pop than classical? Though I can't name any CD/song in particular, I always enjoy 50's-60's big-band swing style music. Plus good old jazz and blues. Chicago would be an example. And then, there's some great French singers from the 60's and 70's I can't forget (Brel being one). Oh, and Jacques Michel, a Quebecer, definitely fits the 'old favourite' (I need to find his "Dieu ne se mange plus" record - most of the songs didn't make it into its CD compilations).
So, sorry, I can't name only one favourite CD.

I think that's a reference to A Clockwork Orange, where a street gang listens to some classical for inspiration before going off to a gang fight. I've never seen it myself, but heard about it.

Any thing by Bob Segar, and Magic Carpet Ride plus Born to be wild by Steppenwolf.
Then how could I forget Paint it Black by The Rolling Stones

Must admit that I was in the car and CCR's Travelin' Band came on and I cranked it up. I'm a sucker for good guitar work.

Not just old AC/DC, *all* AC/DC.
Brian Johnson kicks just as much ass as Bon Scott.

Hmm... maybe something like "Disraeli Gears" or "Rocky Horror" or "American Beauty". I can't pick a have a couple hundred LP's that I played to death about 25 years ago.

Has anyone here every heard the group "It's a Beautiful Day" I love their selftitled album. I own it in vinyl and a dubiously legal European CD version. All Music's entry on them

Yeah,
Well my list was all vinyl anyway...,
I take CD/vinyl and VHS/DVD to be much the same (excluding in the technical aspects obviously) i.e. a way to hear music or watch a film/TV prog...
