Well, I'm gonna be freezing my butt off in Baltimore. Don't have an SO so I guess it doesn't matter much. But if I did, I think I'd go with an early dinner at a nice restaurant, then hit the beach to watch the sunset, maybe out for a drink then home for an all night... Star Wars original trillogy marathon by the fire. ohhh yeah! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Our wedding anniversary is a few days after V day, so we've never really bothered.
For our anniversary, we're going to "We Will Rock You" the musical based on the works of Queen, written by Ben Elton. Supposed to be quite good.

On Valentine's Day my husband and I are avoiding all restaurants, we'll probably do take-out, and exchanging (I'm getting him season 3 of South Park and he's getting me season 6 of Friends). For the real celebration we're going to see BNL a week later, and since the concert's at a casino there will be gambling .

That wasn't a poll, Merc_blue - you don't read /. much, do you? [Lots of people would say, "But that's a *good* thing" ]

For once (savour this moment) I'm jealous of you living in Melbourne (where the musical is being staged). I'd very much like to go there with my wife (our wedding anniversary is only about a week after V day, too. Freaky). If only she wasn't seven hours travel away(along with our almost four month old child), there'd be some chance.
/me most likely to be spending this V day alone ![[Frown]](frown.gif)

No SO here, but I won't be spending the occasion alone for a change. I'm going to see friends in Texas for the weekend. My birthday is the Thursday before V-day, and I had the frequent flier miles, so I said why not?
Well, the friend I'm primarily going to see is an ex-bf, still the love of my life, who is still my best friend, so who knows? Nah... I doubt anything will come of it because we've been just friends for years now, but it's still a better distraction for both of us than being home alone.

I'm going to a ball! Now, if only I had someone to go with ... well, I guess it's not that bad, as a group of about seventeen of us (eleven guys, six girls) are going together, all without 'dates'. Still... *shrug*... it won't be anything special.

We don't really do too much for V day. If I'm home I will make dinner and or bake something sweet (not that I don't do this normally. Over the past few days I've made dirty rice and falafel, cannelloni with alfredo sauce, thai with peanut sauce, and home made oatmeal raisin cookies) . But we will get each other Season 3 of Angel on DVD and call it our gift.
My mom sends a box of candy to us and my siblings every year.

Haven't really decided yet. Ordered flowers to be delivered to her at school [she's a high school teacher]. Our anniversary is also the week after V-day, so I'm trying to come up with some ideas that will let me combine the two. I'll probably just cop-out and get her some lingerie.

But Valentines day is the day you're suppsed to profess your love for someone and ask them to be your valentine.
Sweetest day on the other hand is when you give gift to your sweetheart.
So for V day you don't need to already have someone.

Oooh... I wonder if anyone here is going to receive a e-Valentine from anyone else here - unprompted? It's exciting, isn't it? (If anyone here knows what stores sell lives - any variety thereof, please let me know... )

Excellent! I'd like something in your vibrant, womanising, mildly affluent, bint-magnet range, please. Perhaps the SkirtChaser 2000? I don't care what it costs - just as long as it's totty city. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
