That would be a lot funnier if you were were around in the late 80's when I was taking a class in French and, after a night out clubbing, was served scrambled eggs that the cook had gotten milk gravy on. I almost got arrested

I've posted it often enough. I'm proud to have (barely) survived my years of misadventures. I have more knife scars from dates than most people have from fights
And don't even ask about the time I made nitroglycerine without a proper ice bath to keep the reaction temperature down ![[shake head]](graemlins/shakehead.gif)

It's hard to find geek guys! It's like they have some sort of secret club they go to and hide!
Its better to have somethings in common but not enough to the point of you getting annoyed with the person you are dating.

I was surprised that you didn't get it but, given your confession, I follow you now.
Names beginning with # typically refer to Internet chat rooms on the IRC (Internet Relay Chat) system. So "#linux" will be a chat room on some chat network where people hang out to talk about Linux (or probably anything but! Last time I was in a serious chat room it was more like "i can climax dry-humping easily".... )
Geek/nerd blokes often like computers so we're far more likely to be found on Internet chat rooms where we can socialise without having to leave our computers or go outdoors! Of course, it all depends -- non-computery geeks can be found elsewhere of course.
The other good place to find computery geek blokes is on mailing lists, such as the Yahoo group for the iCab Web browser for Macintosh -- there are a few of us who try to investigate and solve various problems that people experience with their surfing (broken sites, browser bugs etc)
I'll let the non-computery blokes explain where they themselves are to be found

I tend to socialize more on messageboards than chatrooms, for some reason. I never really got into IRC other than to download stuff.
Alas, I too am a computery bloke so I can't really say where you can find me outside that element.

FYI
Typing IRC chat is redundant.

Hey Demos, a vagina is actually an inverted penis. The tissues just collapse, and there you have it.

I want to buy a Redundant Raid array with inexpensive independent disks. I also left a VM mail on your office, Aren't they using Windows XP there, you know that OS system that is built on NT technology.
Forms with "Form" in the heading, Books with "Book of" in the title, "Table of Contents" of course it's a table, I can see that it's a table... Oddly, though, it not listed in the index of tables in the back of the book.
Sounds like a FOAMY rant waiting to happen.

The scary part about "NT Technology" is that that is exactly what Windows 2000 shows during boot! (or New Testament technology as I once heard0

The NT thing is easy to explain.
Rather than actually create new technology, you create a brand called New Technology(tm) which you use to distribute old technology. You then incorporate the New Technology(tm) old technology into your new technology offerings so that they are now based on New Technology(tm), giving you Windows XP based on New Technology(tm) technology which is actually New Technology(tm) old technology being sold as new technology.

I have the oposite problem. I am around them all the time and if I talk to one he usually gets the big eye look of amazement and stares at me like a dear caught in head lights. It must be my high heels?
Any suggestions?
