mhmm I've never seen electrical sockets on the inside siding of a roof like that before. Has it come to the point where we are building our houses with xmas in mind?

Yup.
They're building houses with extra-large chimneys now, for the 70 inch plasma TVs.

I put AC plugs in the soffits when I built the place, my Xmas lights are permanently affixed to the eves trough and connected to digital timers (with back up batteries)

Oh, I also have a Cat 5e network throughout the house with modular dual data as well as RG59 drops on the faceplates.

stevenback7 – Looks like a garage, so it kinda makes sense. Although, I too have not seen actual electrical sockets on the underside of a roof.

Cap'n – I got most of that. All except "RG59 drops". Looks like I have a date with Google.

EDIT: Well, that was a quickie. [Wink] Got it now, coax cable.

I'm so old and crustry that I ran thin-wire ethernet too. (But I upgraded to RG-6 over 59).
