Hello Friends!

I will say read Mr. Tweety's post after mine. He has a problem and I did not mean to bump him, but I need a bit of help, too!

If you know this computer then you know this problem. If you do not know this computer, then your answer to the problem may not be correct.

I bought this computer used because it is the most powerfullest, meanest, baddest ever dual-boot mac of daddys!

But* See the asterisk?

* Requires special OS9 system disk made only for this model and all spare copies of this system disk are held hostage by Darth Vader, Dick Cheney and a battalion of Klingons in a secret vault under Bill Gates house!

YIKES!

I read a rumor that a Mac ROM file v 9.5.1 and a sound extension file for a special TI chip might help. But what would really help most is if I could get an original disk from this model computer.

Any other ideas?

Thanks a lot! Have a great day!

Be sure to help Mr. Tweety, too!

Mr. Geek 2U!

I believe that a 9.2.2 disc may solve this, or, I may need to locate the separate OS 9 restore for these machines... Will take some digging tho

Thank you Mr. Mac!

I do have 9.2.2 installed on the drive.

But all my research tells me I have to have the special version with the secret MDD dual 1.24 FW400 handshake!

If you know the handshake or have access to such knowledge things would be full of joy, joy joy in the Geek2U house!
