I'm taking the online classes for the A+ Certification and just got to the part with all the IRQ's and I/O on the hardware part.

Do I have to memorize all of the different numbers, is there some kind of trick to what goes where and will this even be on the test? What number corrisponds to what that is.

Yes, those were on the test. I have no idea what numbers correspond to which anymore (nor does this ever come in handy when repairing systems, as everything these days is dynamically assigned interrupts via either the BIOS or the APIC).

Yeah the IRQs are bullshit, don't focus on them. I got A+ Certified in 2004 it was easy. Just know the basics, like interfaces AUI, etc what connects to what, what a crossover cable is, etc.
