HP Slate Lowers the Bar for Apple's Tablet PC "The HP Slate was underwhelming, to say the least." "a flat panel computing device that seemed more equivalent to a color Kindle than to a Windows 7 wonder-tablet." "If revealing the HP Slate at Ballmer's keynote was, in fact, a scramble to try and steal Apple's thunder and be the first out of the gate with a hot new tablet...I mean slate PC, it backfired."
If he's a shill, he's not very good at it.
When someone eays something good about Windows, it does not automatically make them a shill.

____ Seems that way to me.
Not so sure even based on this article. Note that he references the "iPhone, Droid, and Nexus One" as smartphones that approach being mini tablets. A true MS shill would probably have gone out of his way to try and hype a Windows Mobile platform and/or downplay the others.
